The short version: SendPin collects nothing. No account, no analytics, no servers, no network requests of any kind.

What SendPin sends, and to whom

SendPin's only function is sending a place you choose to your own Hammerhead Karoo 2 cycling computer over Bluetooth Low Energy — the same short-range radio your power meter or heart rate strap uses. When you share a place from Apple Maps, the app transmits:

the latitude and longitude of that place
the place's name, if it has one
a random ID generated on your device, so your Karoo can tell your phone from someone else's nearby

That transmission happens directly between your iPhone and your Karoo, over Bluetooth, to a device within a few metres of you. It never leaves those two devices. SendPin has no servers to send it to even if it wanted to.

What SendPin does not do

No account or sign-in of any kind
No analytics or crash reporting SDKs
No advertising, and no tracking of you across apps or websites
No network requests — SendPin does not use the internet at all
No data sold, shared, or given to any third party, because none is collected

Local storage

SendPin remembers the places you've sent, so you can send them again — this list is stored only on your device (in an App Group container shared between the app and its share extension) and is never transmitted anywhere except to your own Karoo, and only when you explicitly send a place. One local flag records whether you've seen the app's welcome screen.
